E316L-16 electrodes deposit type 316 with a maximum of 0.04% carbon in the weld deposit. The electrode is used for welding type 316L or type 316 stainless steels. E316L-16 is widely used of chemical holding equipment.

Developed for all positions (except vertical down).

2.5mm – suitable current (amp) ranges dependent on positions and thickness of material: 50-80 AMPS.

The 316L rods had next to no spatter and ran smooth enough they preferred to be run on the high side of the amp range and best of all is the price. The only down side is that they are a bit harder to start.
